Eugene Plunkett (1830-1883)
Born in Martinique, Eugène Plunkett emigrated to New York City, where he worked as a translator and offered Congress in 1852 a translation of the Declaration of Independence, amongst other documents, into Spanish. He died 7 December 1883 in San Antonio, Texas.
