How To Use POP

POP lists as the same work separate editions, re-issues with different title-pages as well as all translations of the same French text. Therefore the same work can bear multiple titles.

Explanations concerning the interface
Titles
POP lists the fullest title, but gives precedence to the drop-head title. It is more reliable than that on the title-page, which could change in re-issues. Use the search function if you cannot find a title in the list of works.
Copies
Pictograms preceding a library abbreviation indicate the copy has been digitized and is available online: just click on the image. Library abbreviations in bold and italics indicate I have personally consulted the copy, either the material object, either a microfilm or electronic surrogate.
Publishers
Publishers' addresses are gathered from imprints.
